About me

Sarah Krekel is a costume designer and sculptor based in Washington, D.C., who received a BA in costume design and visual art from Bennington College. Krekel blends garment construction with sculptural forms to create works for both the stage and galleries. They approach both mediums as a dialogue between movement, the body, and material. Letting them build both fantastical and historical worlds grounded in research and brought to life through detailed craftsmanship.
